What Money Milestones is
People make financial decisions every day. Most of them are trivial, but others, such as where their pension is invested or whether they should buy a house or not, can be life-changing. My objective through Money Milestones is to empower my readers with knowledge so that they can make better financial decisions.
In short, Money Milestones is a UK-oriented personal finance website focusing on how to save and invest. I strive to make my posts as balanced as possible by clearly indicating the pros and cons of each option, explaining how they work, and guiding you on how to apply them effectively.
For full transparency, I am not a financial adviser. However, I have several years of experience working in the financial industry in London.
What Money Milestones isn’t
It’s not a ‘by following this 3 simple tricks, you’ll get a +500% ROI in 1 month!’ website. Increasing your wealth is a marathon, not a sprint and the best way to actually win the race is by accumulating knowledge about your different options (and admittedly, having a little luck doesn’t hurt).
My pledge to you is that I will never tell you what to do with your money: my role here is to explain the different options you have, how they work, how they fared in the past, etc.
More generally, I encourage you to never follow someone else’s advice when it comes to investments. When your co-worker Jack, your friend Ana, or your banker tells you ‘You should really invest in X!’, you should step back, think critically, invoke your knowledge about the topic, and decide whether what they are saying adds up or not. My aim is to help with the knowledge bit.
As a side note, you can get free, confidential advice from the National Debtline if you’re struggling with debt.
